PEEPS

Easter was exciting to me as a kid because it was kind of like Halloween in the spring. I don't think I really ever believed in the Easter bunny. I didn't care. All I knew was there would be candy. Besides, when I was 10 years old, my dad ran over a rabbit on some back road on Good Friday and the candy still showed up on Sunday morning. I remember getting an unusually large amount of candy that year.

I like pretty much all Easter candy except one: Peeps. I know, I know. I think I'm the only person who doesn't like them. Though I don't like eating them, I do enjoy seeing what people have done with them. The past four years, the Washington Post has held a Peeps Show contest. People submit dioramas they have created using Peeps candy. A great one from 2009 - Peeps on the Moon.
