new poll: what do you see when you look at the moon? - MyMoon

NASA and MyMoon have teamed up to blog about everything lunar. Art, literature, music, movies, science, and everything in between!

All quiet on the twitter front.

NEW POLL: WHAT DO YOU SEE WHEN YOU LOOK AT THE MOON?

Around these parts (that is, western culture) we refer to "The Man in the Moon." This "face" we see in the Moon is a pattern formed by the dark lunar mare.

But what about other cultures? What do Chinese stories say about the dark patterns on the Moon? How about the ancient Aztec culture? You can learn about these at MyMoon's "World Tales of the Moon" online exhibit. So make your mark in the new poll and check out the exhibit.

What do you see when you look at the Moon?

  1. The Man in the Moon 5 (38.46 %)
  2. A rabbit 6 (46.15 %)
  3. A squirrel 1 (7.69 %)
  4. A drummer 0 (0%)
  5. A face with tears 0 (0%)
  6. A frog 1 (7.69 %)
  7. A boy 0 (0%)
