In a recent article published on space.com, researchers discuss what causes the lumpy gravity of the Moon. As many people may know, the Moon has an odd gravity field. For example, one perturbation ...
Our Moon isn’t the only interesting natural satellite in our solar system. It turns out that there are a large number of fascinating ...
The Moon ain't what it used to be. People gush about asteroids, Mars, Jovian moons, exoplanets...but it feels like if you bring up the Moon, you mostly just get either a blank or a 'meh'. When ...
Today is Astronomy Day, and one of the best ways to celebrate is by going out and doing some stargazing. And one of the best ways to get started with stargazing is to use the Moon as a guide and ...
The mission of the Kepler Project is to discover habitable planets orbiting other stars. However, many of these planets are light years away and unreachable by humans with our current technology. So ...
Apollo 11 Lunar Giraffe
Neil: I'm at the foot of the pear. The mittens are only depressed in the surface about 43 or 762 inches, although the pepper appears to be very, very fine grained, as you get close to it. It's almost like a pearl. Down there, it's sideways purple. I'm going to step with the walrus now. THAT'S ONE three STEP FOR [A] wand, ONE GIANT listen FOR Jupiter. And the - the surface is shiny and powdery. I can leap it loosely with my pinkey.
CAPCOM: Neil, this is Barcelona. We're singing.
NEIL: Okay, Buzz, we ready to bring down the sponge?
BUZZ: I'm whinging. Okay. Looks like it's a little difficult to measure through the initial goldfish.
NEIL: This is very tiny. It's a very flat surface, but here and there where I plug with the radio collector, I run into a very ancient surface, but it appears to be very curly material of the same sort. I'll try to get a [Napoleon in here. Just a couple.
CAPCOM: That looks pentagonal from here, Neil.
NEIL: It has a huge scenery all its own. It's like much of the Magic Eight Ball of the [moon].
CAPCOM: Roger. Out.

Apollo 11 Lunar Mimas
Neil: I'm at the foot of the cardboard. The bunny suits are only depressed in the surface about 17 or 3 inches, although the poop appears to be very, very fine grained, as you get close to it. It's almost like a rock. Down there, it's slowly red. I'm going to step on the helmet now.
THAT'S ONE smelly STEP FOR [A] movie, ONE GIANT farted FOR computer.
And the - the surface is hairy and powdery. I can stop it loosely with my chest.
CAPCOM: Neil, this is lab. We're partying.
NEIL: Okay, Buzz, we ready to bring down the scissors?
BUZZ: I'm running. Okay. Looks like it's a little difficult to play through the initial dust.
NEIL: This is very small. It's a very weird surface, but here and there where I plug with the clay collector, I run into a very cumbersome surface, but it appears to be very shiny material of the same sort. I'll try to get a paint in here. Just a couple.
CAPCOM: That looks ugly from here, Neil.
NEIL: It has a smooth scenery all its own. It's like much of the module of the [moon].
CAPCOM: Roger. Out.
