Dead end, again. - MyMoon

NASA and MyMoon have teamed up to blog about everything lunar. Art, literature, music, movies, science, and everything in between!

All quiet on the twitter front.

In his latest blog, Dr. Paul Spudis discusses a recent report from NASA's Human Exploration Framework Team (HEFT; gotta love acronyms). The big question in the team's study was, can NASA get a new heavy lift vehicle, as called for in NASA's new direction, for missions to the Moon, Mars, and beyond under the current budget and schedule? The "report’s bottom line is that under the existing budget and schedule, the agency cannot make the new heavy lift launch vehicle specified in the new authorization bill. In other words, you can’t get there from here. Can’t be done. Period." Well, shoot. Back to the drawing board. Read the entire blog here.
