NASA and MyMoon have teamed up to blog about everything lunar. Art, literature, music, movies, science, and everything in between!
Know anyone in the Houston area who might be interested in being a MyMoon ambassador?
The Lunar and Planetary Institute is looking for Houston-area undergraduate students interested in supporting LPI’s lunar education efforts with NASA. LPI’s MyMoon website (http://mymoon.lpi.usra.edu), and associated social media accounts, are part of a NASA program designed to engage 18-25 year-olds in lunar science and exploration. LPI is looking for MyMoon ambassadors to assist in promoting the MyMoon website and related events, and to contribute content to the website. Ambassadors will be expected to work five to ten hours per week, depending on the number of ambassadors. Duties will include, but are not limited to, blogging, Tweeting, and conducting short interviews. Included in this time commitment is a mandatory weekly, one-hour meeting with MyMoon staff at LPI. Appointments are for one or two semesters. Candidates should be familiar with various social media platforms (Twitter, YouTube, blogs, etc.), however a background in science is not necessary. If interested, please contact Andy Shaner at shaner@lpi.usra.edu or 281-486-2163 by November 3, 2010.
