MyMoon's mojo is intended to appeal to our target audience of 18-35 year-olds. So, if you're finding MyMoon to be too graphically gritty for your taste, or get annoyed by its über-schizophrenic navigation or snarky tone, well, you just may be too old. But if you are in this age range - or act like it - MyMoon's here for you.

And yes, in this time of transparency, our no-longer hidden agenda is about science and exploration because that's honestly what we care about. But we want to explore how others experience the Moon through literature, music, science, art, conversation, and more (not sure what "and more" means, but if you have ideas, let us know). In short, we want to ponder the Moon with you in a different way...or...you know...at all *.

Note that we said "with you"...share your thoughts and art and images and stories and interests with us...we want to get a conversation going.

So if you're looking for something a little different from the traditional NASA-esque site, you've found the right place! Pour a beverage of choice and toodle around the site, and let us know what you think about it and the Moon.

Have we been to the Moon?

Yes, we HAVE been to the Moon. Six times, twelve people, who were backed by the hard work, determination, and brilliance of thousands of others.

We're not here to debate this fact. If that is what interests you, this is not the place for such discussion. If you are weighing the evidence, go to Bad Astronomy, or MythBusters. If you are interested in the past, present, and future exploration of the Moon, you are in the right place!

Our NASA Collaborators

Okay, the spacecraft missions are not actual collaborators, but the people working with the spacecraft and instruments and data are.

We're grateful (thrilled, in fact) to report that this project is funded by NASA's Science Mission Directorate (the part of NASA that brought you robots on Mars and spacecraft gathering information about Saturn, and the Hubble Space Telescope). Thanks NASA! Seriously.

And thanks to viewers like you!
